Sandy Percival

Sandy qualified as a lawyer in 2004 where she was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. She initially started off her career in Maritime law, later specialising in Professional Indemnity law where she became partner at a leading international insurance law firm. She has acted for a number of professionals in the construction industry, including engineers and architects. She also acted for Council in a number of fire liability and general negligence matters. After a high profile corporate collapse, she acted for the auditors during an inquiry held under Companies Act, disciplinary hearings and subsequent large scale litigation. She has also represented brokers and lawyers.

After emigrating, Sandy requalified in New Zealand before joining McElroys. She continues to practice in Professional Indemnity law. Her practice now also includes earthquake policy response matters.

Outside of work, Sandy’s young family keep her busy. She has a keen eye for architecture and interior design and frequently engages in building and renovation projects. Sandy enjoys running and is in a constant state of training for the next upcoming half marathon.
