Melissa Castelino


Melissa has a strong interest in professional indemnity matters and employment disputes. She regularly assists in these areas along with carrying out legal research. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2018, after completing a BCom/LLB conjoint degree at the University of Auckland. Prior to joining McElroys, Melissa worked as a law clerk at other Auckland law firms and developed an in-depth understanding of research practices and discovery protocols.

Melissa is passionate about volunteering her time on the weekends and making a positive difference in people’s lives. Melissa enjoys exploring New Zealand on foot and takes great pleasure in doing scenic walking tracks or hiking trails. In her spare time, you will often find Melissa relaxing on a beach or trying new restaurants with friends. She is currently learning kickboxing to improve her fitness and she is attempting to be more adventurous in the kitchen.
